1. Cast your cares (1 Peter 5:7)
There are times in my life when I feel it’s impossible,
I failed, how I tried but failed again.
Advice that I heard brought no joy and no comfort
But then I remember these words my friend,
Jesus loves me!
The pain that I feel, the troubles I’m facing
They go on if I struggle with the Lord,
So I’ll forget about myself, I’m going to look up towards heaven,
For the peace that I’m seeking is with God,
Jesus loves me!
He said, Cast your cares upon me
Submit it to God and the devil will flee,
Cast your cares, all your cares,
Cast your cares upon me.
There is victory in Christ, for alone we’re not worthy,
But through Jesus we’re alive and will prevail.
Above all He is Lord, we’ve nothing to fear,
While we trust day by day in the Lord.
Jesus loves me!
He said, Cast your cares upon me
Submit it to God and the devil will flee,
Cast your cares, all your cares,
Cast your cares upon me.
Cast your cares upon me
Submit it to God and the devil will flee,
Cast your cares, all your cares,
Cast your cares upon me.
2. Never too late for change (John 9)
I don’t know the answers to all the questions in this world.
I couldn’t tell the difference between a diamond or a pearl.
But don’t come round the corner and point your finger at me,
For there’s one thing I know, I was blind but now I see.
That it’s never too late for change, to have your life re-arranged,
One day it’s in black and white and the next day comes in full colour of light.
No it’s never too late for change, to have your life re-arranged
One day it’s in black and white and the next day comes in full colour of light.
In full colour of light.
I don’t know your problems great or small,
I don’t know how high you climbed how great your fall.
But don’t come round the corner and point your finger at me,
For there’s one thing I know, Jesus can set you free.
For it’s never too late for change, to have your life re-arranged,
One day it’s in black and white and the next day comes in full colour of light.
No it’s never too late for change, to have your life re-arranged
One day it’s in black and white and the next day comes in full colour of light.
In full colour of light.
It’s never too late for change
It’s never too late for change
It’s never too late for change
3. Good news(Luke 4:18-19)
I pick up my paper and what do I see
So much corruption, deceit and poverty
No room for sharing it out
No room for integrity
If you want to make the head line
You’ve got to be a public enemy
But what about the good news that Jesus lives today?
What about the good news that he can take my sin away?
I want to hear it good news!
I turn on my TV and what do I see
Conflict, contention, so much dishonesty
No room for peace in this world,
no room for honesty
If you want to make the head line
You’ve got to be a public enemy
But what about the good news that Jesus lives today?
What about the good news that he can take my sin away?
I want to hear it good news!
I pick up my bible and what do I see
A message of truth and hope
and it sure seems good to me
A message of peace for this world
Of peace and integrity
So put it in the headline that Jesus died to set me free
For this is the good news, Jesus lives today
This is the good news he can take my sin away
I want to hear it good news!
For this is the good news, Jesus lives today
This is the good news he can take my sin away
I want to hear it good news!
Good News! Good News! Good News!
4. Shame
Some people say they live life to the full
And they know what life’s all about,
They lay great store in material things
They say “God we can just live without”
Ain’t it a shame, will you throw away your life?
When there’s nothing at all in the world to lose
But there’s all to gain in Christ!
There are people who’ve heard the word of the Lord,
But the truth they choose to ignore,
They say not now but some other time,
For while we’re young we’ve got life to enjoy.
Ain’t it a shame, will you throw away your life?
When there’s nothing at all in the world to lose
But there’s all to gain in Christ!
There is joy and peace and fulfilment in Christ,
For the Lord is true to his word,
When we seek him first above all else,
He then gives us the needs of this earth.
Ain’t it a shame, will you throw away your life?
When there’s joy and peace and love to be found
When you’re living your life in Christ!
The time grows short soon the Lord he will come,
To take those who love him home,
Many a fool shall be left behind,
My friend, will you be one?
Ain’t it a shame, will you throw away your life?
When there’s joy and peace and love to be found
When you’re living your life in Christ!
Ain’t it a shame, Ain’t it a shame,
Ain’t it a shame, Ain’t it a shame,
When there’s nothing at all in the world to lose,
But there’s all to gain in Christ!
5. Narrow the path (Matthew 7:13-14)
Won’t somebody show me the way to true life?
I’ve travelled this same road all of my life.
It’s filled with despair, there’s trouble everywhere,
Won’t somebody show me the way to true life?
Narrow the path that leads a man to true life,
But bright is the light that leads the way,
Narrow the path that leads a man to Jesus,
For he’s the life, the truth, the way.
I’m travelling a road that leads to no where,
But there’s so many people travelling there,
There must be a turning, my heart within is yearning,
Please show me a turning that leads me somewhere.
Narrow the path that leads a man to true life,
But bright is the light that leads the way,
Narrow the path that leads a man to Jesus,
For he’s the life, the truth, the way
Now I see the truth the road is so clear,
Jesus is the light to draw all men near.
I’m no longer blind, he’s opened my soul and my mind,
God is the road that leads to true life!
Narrow the path that leads a man to true life,
But bright is the light that leads the way,
Narrow the path that leads a man to Jesus,
For he’s the life, the truth, the way.
6. What is love? (1 John 4:16-19)
What is love? More than a feeling,
Feelings come and feelings go.
What is love? More than a physical attraction,
Beauty fades but love remains.
Though I can’t see you, my heart calls out your name,
Though I can’t touch you, you’re closer than a friend.
It just feels so right when I worship your name,
You’re my love, you’re my best friend.
What is love? More than a feeling,
Feelings come and feelings go.
What is love? More than a physical attraction,
Beauty fades but love remains.
There is a higher love that comes from God above.
A love that heals all wounds yet is gentle as a dove.
A love that gives its life for nothing in return,
This is love. I’m talking ‘bout real love
I’m talking ‘bout real love. This is real love
Break
There is a higher love that comes from God above.
A love that heals all wounds yet is gentle as a dove.
A love that gives its life for nothing in return,
This is love. I’m talking ‘bout real love
I’m talking ‘bout real love. This is real love
It's the kind of love that's patient, it's the kind of love that's kind
It's the kind of love that's selfless, it's the kind of love that blows your mind
It's the kind of love that heals you, it's the kind of love that builds you
It's the kind of love that makes you strong, it gives you strength to carry on
This is real love...
7. There is a promise
There is a promise, sent from above
To those who believe there is power to overcome.
So never grow weary, never lose heart,
Run the last mile as though it were the start, and..
Pray! When the tide of life knocks you over,
Pray! When refreshing waters run dry, and
Say! To your tired soul so weary,
Bless though the Lord O my soul!
Bless though the Lord O my soul!
There is a Spirit, sent from above
To those who believe He’s the power to overcome.
Strength for the weary, for the faint of heart,
He’ll help run the mile as though it were the start, so
Pray! When the tide of life knocks you over,
Pray! When refreshing waters run dry, and
Say! To your tired soul so weary,
Bless though the Lord O my soul!
Bless though the Lord O my soul!
In the midst of the darkness, there comes the light
In the midst of the battle, comes strength for the fight.
In the midst of the weeping, when all seems forlorn
Comes the rejoicing, at the breaking of the dawn!
Pray! When the tide of life knocks you over,
Pray! When refreshing waters run dry, and
Say! To your tired soul so weary,
Bless though the Lord O my soul!
Bless though the Lord O my soul!
Bless though the Lord O my soul!
8. What it means to be forgiven (Luke 1:77)
What it means to be forgiven,
I know now deep down in my heart.
Since God forgave all the wrongs that I had done
And he gave my life a brand new start.
Not because of all my goodness
Not through anything I could do
But through a faith in Jesus
My life has been made anew.
What it means to be forgiven,
I know now so very well
It’s the difference from being in heaven,
It’s the difference from being in hell
Not because of all my goodness
Not through anything I could do
But through a faith in Jesus
My life has been made anew.
What it means to be forgiven,
I wonder if you realise,
That in Christ you must believe, forgiveness to receive,
The peace of God dwelling in your life.
Not because of all my goodness
Not through anything I could do
But through a faith in Jesus
My life has been made anew
What it means to be forgiven,
I know now so very well
It’s the difference from being in heaven,
It’s the difference from being in hell
9. Sweet surrender (Matthew 6:33)
There’s been a change in my life and it’s been a change for the better,
Every day that I walk with the Lord my life gets better and better.
In my shame I called out his name and I made my sweet surrender
Now I know yes I know, a joy in life through Jesus Christ the Saviour
There may be times when troubles they come and like a storm they
rage about you,
But there’s no storm too great for him He’ll bring peace and calm around you.
He loves us so why I don’t know, but I’m glad that he cares for ever,
Praise his name he stays the same and his goodness, his goodness changes
never.
BREAK
So take time to stop, examin yourself and the life that you are living
Is it just a plain black and white are all the colours missing?
Well don’t wait add the paint, it’s Jesus Christ your missing
Call out his name don’t be ashamed live a joyous life through
Jesus Christ the Saviour!
He loves us so why I don’t know, but I’m glad that he cares for ever,
Praise his name he stays the same and his goodness, his goodness changes
Never!
10. When this life is over (John 3:16; Heb 9:27; 2 Cor 5:10;)
When this life is over and my race has been run
And I stand before the Lord and give account for the things that I’ve done.
Well what good would be my riches, what good would be my fame?
If I had no love for Jesus name?
When this life is over and I stand all alone,
Before God my creator, with no one else to lean upon.
Well what words could I say, just what could I do?
I need the love of Jesus to see me through.
Yes it’s Jesus who I need, I need Jesus in my life,
I need the power of his blood wooh cleansing me,
I need his love, how I need his love in my life.
When this life is over where will I be?
Will I have a crown of joy and a mansion waiting for me?
Or will I be filled with sorrow, and filled with pain,
Because I made no room for Jesus name?
Yes it’s Jesus who I need, I need Jesus in my life,
I need the power of his blood wooh cleansing me,
I need his love, how I need his love.
Yes it’s Jesus who I need, I need Jesus in my life,
I need the power of his blood wooh cleansing me,
I need his love, how I need his love in my life.
